HP Continues Cord-Cutting With New Omen Gaming Peripherals

Hewlett Packard appears to be planning to end the summer on a high note, as the iconic computer manufacturer today announced a an entire array of new PC gaming peripherals, the majority of which appear to have been designed around the concept of cord-cutting. Not in the sense of ditching cable TV but literal cables traditionally used by mice, keyboards, headphones, etc.

This new wave of product announcements all boasts support for Warp Wireless, which is how HP is calling its cord-less platform designed for freedom of movement and a clean aesthetic. Of course, wireless gadgets are hardly a novelty and HP itself has been releasing such devices for years by now, at least on a smaller scale.

Lately, however, the company feels the tech, including its own proprietary Warp Wireless standard, became good enough to warrant a more serious foray into the world of cordless experiences, whether in the context of casual gaming or even competitive esports. To that effect, HP is hoping to intrigue you this fall with devices like the OMEN Spacer Wireless TLK Keyboard, Omen Vector Wireless Mouse, and the OMEN Frequency Wireless Headset.

All three will be hitting the U.S. market in the weeks ahead, starting at $99 for the mouse and going up to $169 for the said headset (or $10 less for the keyboard).

HP Expanding 3D Printing Business As Ambitions Keep Growing

Hewlett Packard (HP), one of the most recognizable electronics brands in the world and a household name in the U.S. tech industry, today announced perhaps its most ambitious diversification effort in recent memory.

Namely, the company is planning to double down on its 3D printing operations in the sense that it will finally attempt doing what pretty much every even remotely relevant player in the 3D printing space dreads – testing the scalability of the business model that already cost more than anyone imagined it would.

Yes, 3D printing technologies, as amazing as they are, aren’t the most scalable solution the manking ever devised, so any attempt at scaling up such operations tends to be met with skepticism. The same holds true for HP’s latest announcement. But needless to say, if anyone has the expertise to pull of 3D printing on such an unprecedentedly massive scale, that would simply have to be HP, at this point.

As a result of this move, expect the firm to soon begin offering more robust, data-driven consulting services, additional B2B SaaS plans, and everything else that usually goes with such a riskey, potentially hugely resource-intensive investment.

2020 HP Omen 30L Desktop Boasts RTX 3090

Two weeks after NVIDIA took the wraps off its GeForce RTX 30 lineup of high-end gaming cards, HP is already fully prepared to take advantage of the newly introduced component breakthroughs – just in time for the traditionally competitive but very shopping-intensive holiday season.

Cue the introduction of the 2020 HP Omen 30L models meant to succeed the firm’s previous-best Windows gaming towers. This new family offers hardware all the way up to NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090 – assuming you can afford it, that is. Because, to be honest, with an introductory price of $1,500, the HP Omen 30L series does not appear to be too impressive in the accessibility department, which is simultaneously unsurprising and yet difficult to swallow seeing how much more competitive HP Omen products tend to be in nearly every other product category.

The current shortages of NVIDIA’s second-gen ray-tracing GPUs obviously do not apply to enterprise clients, which is why pretty much every single configuration of the HP Omen 30L is scheduled to become available to buy in the U.S. in time for the holiday season.

In the CPU department, HP intends to offer both Intel and AMD’s latest tech, wheareas RAM will be capped at the expected 64GB mark.
